Bibliographies

J Childs (2005) Studio Photography-Essential Skills
This was book was really interesting to read, I particularly enjoyed the activities that were set in the book, I have completed a few of these over the course of reading it and I intend on completing the rest of them during the summer break. I did make a note book with the valuable information I attained while reading this and I can certainly say it helped to produce some of my final images.

M Langford  (2010) Langfords Basic Photography
This is like my bible, even though I have read the book I am always referring back to it and reading it when I need to, It is an essential part of my learning and I will always consider it to be part of my photography process as the information in it is simple to understand and great for learning things in understandable terms.

N Walliman (2005) Your research Project
I felt this book was very hard reading. I did read it all but felt I didn't understand quite a bit of it. I was left bewildered after reading it and I feel I need to read other research books in order to get better informed.

Tracy J and Gibson, S (2009) The Freelance Photographer's Market Handbook
Very useful this book for selling your images. The address and contacts are endless for magazine markets, newspapers, agencies and services for every photographers needs.

John Blakemore (2008) Black and White Photography Workshop
This book was interesting and I still refer to it for information. I found the zone system easier to understand and it also referred to the zone system for film based camera's which was helpful, when I come to producing and developing images from a seagull camera the book was full of useful information. It learnt me that if the developing time is increased dark areas of the print which contain  the most exposed silver continue to develop after the exposed silver in highlight area's is exhausted resulting in the blacks being intensified which effect the contrast of the finished image, and plenty of other useful stuff regarding the dark room.

William E Ewing (2008) Face The New Photographic Portrait
This book was very useful for the people's brief. I learnt a lot with this book like how a split second can change the features of a person and effect the finished image. I referred to this book while photographing in New York and capturing not just flattering images but also a truthful image. There are some disturbing images in the book but there are more influential images to learn by.

Marc Auge (2009) Non Places An Introduction To Supermodernity
I found this book to be very addictive and I found myself wanting to read it all at once, I am now searching for the first edition produced in 1992. This was a great book for my places brief and it has made me look at everyday places with a different view.

Edward Steichen (1983) The Family Of Man
This book of images certainly opened my eyes to photography and after studying the images it has made me stop deleting images as what i thought were rubbish images actually resembelled some of these images.
